Animals - Zoo Central & Griggs Learning Center
A walk through Zoo Central launches every visit to the Lake Superior Zoo. Zoo Central houses all the services needed for an enjoyable zoo visit including the Tiger's Paw Gift Shop, the Safari Café (seasonal), restrooms, and first-aid.
Zoo Central is also home to a wide variety of animals and educational displays. One of the first animals you'll notice is the Reeves muntjac, small deer that inhabit our beautifully muralled two story exhibit at the heart of Zoo Central. Griggs Learning Center is home to many of our smaller furry, feathered and scaly friends. Parrots, snakes, bearded dragons, chinchillas and an eastern screech owl are just a few of the animals in Griggs that serve as our education ambassadors.
