- They have
a prehensile tail which is covered by thick hair, except
for the terminal side which is covered with scales and
lacks hair.
- They are
in the marsupial family. The young is born after
17 days and climbs into the mother's pouch where it will
stay for 4 to 5 months. They vary in size from
that of a rat to a fox.
- the
phalanger is a powerful and vicious fighter despite it's
small size.
