Fall & Winter Zoo Classes for Kids!

The zoo is open year-round and fall is a beautiful time to visit & explore the zoo! Ed-Zoocation classes are held rain, snow or shine, so please dress for the weather. Please register online at www.lszoo.org or call the Lake Superior Zoo Education Office at 218-730-4510.

Zoo Tots: for toddlers 2-3 years of age (no siblings please)- NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Enjoy story time and an animal encounter with your toddler. Each class we will focus on the different shapes, sounds, and animals that live at YOUR ZOO
Free for zoo members
$2 plus admission for non-members

Cub Club: for 4 - 6 year olds
Our zoo animals love fall and winter! Participate in games, stories, crafts, and animal encounters as we explore the animal world.  Pre-registration required.

Splish Splash
Splish splash I was taking a bath! Animals love to play in the water just about as much as we do. Learn all about the water buddies at your zoo.

Incredible Invertebrates
Buzz, hiss, crunch, fly, crawl, swim. Invertebrates are incredible animals that live just about everywhere. Let's hunt down these guys and find out what they do, where they live and why we need them.

Now you see me, now you don't
I like to move it, move it! Animals use different patterns and movements to hide themselves from being detected. Come move & groove with us as we search out these hidden critters.

Crazy Canines
Join the pack! The zoo welcomed new wolves, bat-eared fox kits & silver foxes this past year. Discover how these canines hunt and work together to live and survive.

Homeschool Classes - for ages 7 - 12.   Date/Time
Operation Conservation: Our focus for 2010 is conservation. Learning to appreciate our Earth, animals, and natural resources. In each class, we will explore a different topic and learn how our behavior can make the world better.
